In partnership with Good Night Out Vancouver (GNOV) and the Canadian Live Music Association (CLMA), the Kingston Music Office is hosting a free webinar on November 22 at 1 pm designed for ages 16+, including secondary students, event organizers, and those interested in advocating for safer gigs. Led by Stacey Forrester, co-founder of Good Night Out, this interactive session will teach strategies to reduce risks at concerts, house parties, and other events. With a focus on care and community, not fear, this webinar will equip participants with tools and resources to foster safer, more inclusive experiences.
Good Night Out Vancouver (GNOV) is a BC-based non-profit society that works directly with the hospitality and music sectors to prevent and respond to sexual harassment and create safer experiences for those working in those industries as well as patrons. Good Night Out’s roots are on the occupied and unceded ancestral territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, or Tsleil-Waututh peoples. GNO’s work in the area of safer music spaces has led to partnerships with venues of all sizes, such as the cities of Victoria and Vancouver, the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, artists, and many other stakeholders in the hospitality and entertainment sector.
