Meet Your Instructor
Karen is a Mexican Industrial and UX Designer with a deep love for creativity and hands-on making. She grew up in a family of five where piñata-making was more than just a craft—it was a cherished tradition led by her mom for every birthday. Now, she’s excited to share that tradition with others for the very first time, blending her design background with the creative spirit she grew up with. For Karen, making piñatas is a way to celebrate her culture and bring color into the world—and into everyday life.
Fun fact: Karen once made a piñata of the Titanic
