A Nightmarish Journey Awaits with Animatronics, Special Effects, and Scare Actors
Fort Fright returns to Fort Henry, transforming Kingston’s 18th-century garrison and National Historic Site into a spine-chilling haunted house. The Fort Fright scare attraction presents a nightmarish realm of creatures and monsters using more than 50 movie-style, quality animatronics, dynamic special effects, intense sound and lighting and many costumed scare actors. Running on select evenings September 27 to October 31, tickets are now on sale, starting at $25 + HST.
For those looking for even more of a fright, Dark Nights are back with two additional nights. Experience Fort Fright in complete darkness, with only a single eerie flashlight to light the way, providing an ultimate thrill for the bravest of souls. Tickets available for October 10, 17, 24, and 31, 2024, $30 +HST.
There is more, Terror Tuesdays, featuring horror film screenings Tuesday evenings throughout October in the lower fort. Fan-favourite scary movies will be shown, with scare actor interactions before and after the screenings and staged jump-scares during the movies. Tickets are on sale now for October 1, 8, 15, and 22, 2024, $15 + HST. Doors open at 7:15 p.m., with the film starting at 8 p.m.
First introduced at Fort Henry in 2007, the Fort's historic significance provides an eerie backdrop for Fort Fright, adding to the ghoulish narrative. This immersive experience offers a terrifying journey through the Fort’s narrow hallways and interior ditch, perfect for those seeking a deep dive into the macabre side of Halloween. Fort Fright has grown into one of the largest and most detailed event productions in eastern Ontario.
While the site is re-invented for the event, the creative team remains respectful of its heritage. The combination of the immersive experience and the historical setting makes Fort Fright a unique Halloween attraction.
