The City of Kingston and Sustainable Kingston are excited to announce the eighth annual Climate Change Symposium will be taking place on January 20, 2025!
This year’s theme, “Rooted in Action: Empowering Youth to Grow a Sustainable Future,” is set to be an inspiring event highlighting youth-led climate action, bringing together passionate young leaders, environmental advocates, educators and community members for engaging dialogue on climate solutions driven by youth.
 
Joining the Symposium:
  • - Autumn Peltier, an Indigenous Rights & Water Activist whose journey for justice has made waves around the globe
  • - Lilah Williamson, an award-winning climate activist, community organizer and founder of Climate Strike Canada, a national network of youth climate groups
  • - Ali Hassan, CBC personality and host of Laugh Out Loud and the annual literary contest, Canada Reads, will return as our event host
  • - Panelist discussion on climate action in the arts (speakers to be announced soon)
